Buildings Surviving In The Long Run

Early humans used to have caves as their shelter. When civilization made its way to the world history, buildings are formed with its various functions. It serves the basic needs of society: living space, store belongings, to be comfortable with living and working. Let us date back the famous structures for its longevity.

15. Great Pyramid of Giza

Great Pyramid of Giza in Cairo, Egypt was built in 2560 BC (4570 years standing!). The Great Pyramid of Giza was built as an elaborate and extravagant tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. He was entombed in the King’s Chamber, one of the three known chambers within the Great Pyramid. This is built from approximately 2.3 million limestone blocks and was just  built in a span of 20 years!

14. The Great Wall Of China

The Great Wall Of China in China (2410 years) has its wall stretched 5,500 miles (8,851 km) and still continues to be the largest defensive man-made project. The Great Wall protected the many different dynasties that have ruled China over the centuries, but nowadays is a top tourist destination in China.

13. The Colosseum
The Colosseum in Rome, Italy (1930 years) is originally called the Flavian Ampitheatre. The structure wasn’t always used as an amphitheatre though, since in the 12th century it was fully fortified by the Frangipani family who used it as a castle. Although it still stands proudly in Rome as the top tourist attraction of the city, it suffered massive damage and nowadays only one fully built side is still standing.

Your home could also be a sturdy as these structures. Having a good foundation is the basic key to life-long houses.

There's a Living Barbie Doll!

We all want to be at our best at all time. We make an effort to go to salons, spas, and gym to gratify ourselves and also, to have the "ego." There are people who go beyond the common options. Last April, a 21-year old Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova caught the attention of the people as she became an internet sensation, having a doll-like features. She's not your ordinary doll with round eyes, sweet smile, innocent looks; she is one relic of a 39"-18"-33", 5’9″ Barbie doll. Criticisms flooded, as some believe that it is an unhealthy obsession when they knew that she underwent extensive  plastic surgery. This is undeniably surprising, seeing her unbelievable aesthetic features.

If having a doll-like features is what makes her happy, so be it. But this doesn't mean that overly patronizing such thing can cause goodness always.

Blame It On The Booze, Got You Feeling Loose

It's a pity how the teenagers of today are that much into vices and misbehavior. Kids today are just so out of control that it's not even a surprise for us anymore seeing kids drink and smoke. It has been a terrible development in this age that the "hope" of the future are put into waste, drinking and having the time of their lives without even thinking about tomorrow.

So parents out there, I urge you to discipline your kids thoroughly regarding this issue, as you do not want to end up being a depressed parent having lost a child  for such a case. Lucky for you if only they were caught by cops going over a red light or speeding. Because you know that your child is safe and there are people like what they have here to help you and your kid out of drunk driving case.

I happen to come across this video on Youtube this morning. The title was so alarming that it made me watch the entire 14 minutes of it. Every fifteen minutes, a teenager dies from drunk driving. I can't help but be sad over this cold fact. It's very depressing actually, not that you care about these undisciplined children, but what about the people you know? Your children, nieces and nephews, sons and daughters of your friends? Calling 911 for accidents caused by drunk driving is common in America.

Shingles are rectangular in shape and are made of asphalt. It is normally installed on slanted area. Shingles overlaps one another to prevent rains, light, snows, hot and cold air and dirt to pass between them. Shingles are built slanted to easily roll down rains, snows and solid objects.

Roof shingles made of asphalts are cheaper, fire opposed to and trouble-free to preserve. Wood shingles looks customary and effortless to repair. Sturdy shingles are built with metal. Most striking shingles are of tile designs.

Great Art? Look Down

I love art, and I think sometimes some of the best art is the stuff you find on the street. In this case it is literally 'on the street'. Sidewalk chalk art isn't what it used to be when I was a kid. It has really changed and spawed a whole new generation of amazing artists who are doing what they love, on the sidewalks of cities everywhere, for a small donation and because they love what they do. Check out the amazing talent,  these artists have.

What's Under There?

This guy had a great idea of drawing what he thought it looked like under the sidewalk he was drawing on.

Who's Going To Rescue That Kid?

This is a really cute picture. The lilly pads look so real and the child is just sitting there trying to feed the frog.

Amazing Laptop

I love this laptop picture. It looks so real. Some of these big companies should hire some of these artists. What great advertising it would be.

Butterfly Takes Flight

It looks like the butterfly just left the boy's finger and decided to go for a flight around the square. Another amazing way to brighten up a dreary sidewalk.

Prop or Chalk?

I was having a hard time deciding what was going on in this picture. I think it might be a commbination of both chalk art and a prop walk. It is really hard to tell. What do you think?

The Amazing Spiderman

This Spiderman one is cool too. It totally looks like Spiderman is rescuing the artist from a stack of bricks he is stuck on.

Don't Fall Down The Hole

Last but not least is this great picture of a couple of people who were innocently walking down the street when they happened to fall down a well that popped up out of nowhere.

What a great way to work and see the world.Wish I head the guts to head here and travel the world making amazing art and putting smiles on peoples faces.
